Second Annual Steven's Hope Fundraiser Gala
The Disco Ball Benefit Bash
Remember those days of glitter and polyester? Well get ready to put on your boogie shoes and “Do the Hustle” to tunes like “Stayin Alive” and “We are Family” because Steven’s Hope for Children is announcing their second annual fundraiser The “Disco” Ball Benefit Bash. This fun-filled dinner event will be held at the beautiful Eagle Glen Golf Course in Corona on Saturday, November 13, 2004 and will feature live musical entertainment and a silent auction.
For those who have never attended a Steven’s Hope fundraiser before, The “Disco” Ball Benefit Bash is an excellent opportunity for your organization, business, school, civic group, family or friends to gain exposure in the local community and raise money for families in serious need of your help.
“We wanted to create an event with a theme that changes every year”, stated Tony Cappelli, Chairman and Co-founder of Steven’s Hope For Children, Inc. “And the disco theme will be memorable, enjoyable and entertaining to kick-off this second annual fundraiser,” continued Cappelli.
Steven’s Hope for Children is a non-profit children’s charity in Upland, California. It was founded by Tony & Sandy Cappelli after the loss of their son, Steven, in December 2000 from a fatal heart condition. Their loss has helped them show friends, family and even strangers how they can help others in need.
Steven’s Hope’s mission is to enhance the lives of seriously ill or injured children and their families during the emotionally challenging time of a child’s extended medical treatment and care while away from home. Their goal is to provide temporary housing, goods and services to families of seriously ill or injured children receiving outpatient treatment at selected hospitals. It is their desire to have the family focus on being a family and help the child recover.
Currently, Steven’s Hope for Children is operating two apartments in Loma Linda, California just minutes away from Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The organization’s plans for the future include the construction of a permanent building that would house six to ten families. Their long-term goal is to have extended-stay facilities near many children’s hospitals in California. Projects such as this are only made possible by fundraising efforts such as The “Disco” Ball Benefit Bash.
Steven’s Hope is a 100% volunteer organization that is funded by individuals, companies and other organizations who have generously given their time, money, expertise and wisdom.
