Frontier Homes CEO Jimmy Previti to Organize Fundraiser Benefiting Local Charity “Steven’s Hope”
Ontario, CA- June, 27 , 2007— Continuing a long-standing tradition of the Previti family, Frontier Homes Founder and CEO Jimmy L. Previti announced today the creation of a charity event benefiting “Steven’s Hope For Children.”

The event, to take place August, 23, 2007, in a private reception held at Mr. Previti’s home in Rancho Cucamonga, will serve to bring the business, political and philanthropic communities together with the purpose of helping local families of seriously ill or injured children.

“ This is truly a great charity and I am asking the Inland Empire community to come together to help make this event a successful one for our children,” Previti said. “Steven’s hope provides housing and other essential needs to families, who have ill or injured children and otherwise could not afford these services. It is our moral duty as corporate citizens to help those in our communities.”
Steven’s Hope for Children is a non-profit children’s charity in Upland that assists children and their families during the financially and emotionally challenging time of a child's extended care and rehabilitation while away from home. Through its two programs, "Housing for Hope", and "Fill A Need" Steven's Hope has been lessening the burdens of families from California, across the United States, and even abroad in countries such as Mexico, Turkey, Korea and Japan.

The charity is the arduous work of Tony and Sandy Cappelli, who in 2000, while on their fifth month of pregnancy, found out that their expectant son had a fatal heart disease and would not be able to live more than a few hours. Even though they lived about 20 miles from one of the best hospitals in the world treating this type of disease, they were too far away and would have to relocate within minutes of the hospital.

Unfortunately, surgery and transplant were not viable options and in December of 2000, Steven Joseph Cappelli was born and lived for 32 hours.

In the months that followed, Tony & Sandy searched for a way to ease the pain and find a meaning for it all. They felt compelled to help other families facing similar situations.
After talking with social workers at several hospitals, they found that many families must temporarily relocate near the hospital while their child is receiving outpatient care. It becomes an even bigger burden once the child is released from the hospital but must remain near the facility for outpatient care and rehabilitation. Depending on the illness, this can be for several months at a time.
“ The pressure of supporting two households, a possible reduction in income, coping with physical pain of a child and being in an unfamiliar area is too much stress for most families to deal with,” said Tony Cappelli. “With the help of family, business associates, and friends, we started Steven’s Hope for Children, Inc. with the purpose of alleviating some of the stress of dealing with seriously ill or injured children while away from home. It is our belief that keeping the family unit healthy is foremost and doing whatever is necessary to support the family is essential,” Cappelli added.

Previti said that he decided to put on this event after learning that all donations from this event will directly impact those in need. “Steven’s Hope is a top-of-the-line organization that works thanks to the many volunteers, who sacrifice their time and many other resources to make sure that all donations help the families in need,” Previti explained.

Previti’s philanthropic efforts recently imposed a new YMCA state record when in December of 2006; a fundraiser held at his home raised $201,000. “How wonderful would it be to set a new record? It would be the right thing to do and this is why we are launching an aggressive effort to enlist pledges from community and business partners,”
he said.

All donations are tax-deductible and all donors will be invited to a private reception at Mr. Previti’s home where Inland Empire’s most prominent politicians and business personalities will attend.

If you are interested in donating to this event, please contact Miguel Gonzalez at (909) 292-3065 or mgonzalez@frontierhomes.com. You can also donate directly to this event by visiting www.stevenshope.org.
