Steven's
Hope hosts three fundraising events each year:
our annual golf tournament in May, the One Tough
Run (now in September) and our "Giving Hope" Luncheon
in November. These events help Steven's Hope for
Children reach its goals of providing services
to the families we assist. Additionally, there
are various groups and organizations that host
events that benefit Steven's Hope. We may participate
in selling tickets or having some of our volunteers
help at the event. These events include, Concert
Under the Stars, Game Day Triathlon, and the St.
Patrick's Day Tip the Firefighter Fundraiser held
by the Ontario Fire Department.

We invite you to join
us for one of our events. Now is a great time as
there is a lot happening over the next few months.
You can just attend and have a good time, join
a committee or become a volunteer. You'll meet
some new friends, use your talents and do some
good for the children and families that need it.

St.
Patrick's Day
The Ontario Fire Fighter
Local is hosting the "Tip the Fire Fighter" Fundraiser
on Wednesday, March 17 at the Ontario El Torito Restaurant.
Join the fire fighters as they help to serve breakfast
(&am to 11AM), lunch (11AM to 3PM) and dinner (3PM to
11PM). There will be plenty of green merchandise and event
t-shirts for everyone. Singing fireman and bagpipes will
be there to make this event one to remember. The group
for Ontario Fire Fighter Local 1430 have gathered plenty
of prizes for the raffles and the silent auction. There
wil also be a karaoke
contest that will be judged by celebrity
impersonators. |

Cool Cruise
Chili Cook-off
If you want to hear the
growling, rumbling and thunder of pure power, head over
to downtown La Verne on Saturday, April 3. That's where
Steven's Hope will be to sell tickets for tastes of high
octane blends of chili made several of the areas best car
creators who will be dishing out
their best. Admission to the Cool
Cruise is free. If you want to taste
the chili, that will cost you - in more ways than one!
When you've had enough of the growling, rumbling and thunder,
be sure to check out hundreds of classic
cars, trucks and motorcycles
at one of the best car shows around.

Eighth Annual
Golf Tournament
We are now accepting
reservations and sponsorships for the Eighth Annual Steven's
Hope Golf
Tournment. Grab your sticks and head to Sierra La Verne
Country Club with friends for a few hours of golf and good
times. The entry fee is $250 per person which includes
lunch and dinner plus cart and green fees. Naturally, we'll
have some great giveaways for all the players plus various
contests throughout the day. Sponsorships begin at $100.
This is a great event to donate
a prize
for our silent or live auction.

Night At
the Ballpark
Take me out to the ballgame!
Every year we invite many of the families we have served
to come to the Epicenter in Rancho Cucamonga to enjoy a
night of baseball, hot dogs, chips and fireworks. We know
that many of these families don't have the funds to have
a family outing, so we have one for them. It may be minor
league baseball but it's a big deal to these
familes. This event is made possible by supporters sponsoring
the families. |

Concerts
Under the Stars
Through the generosity
of the Hafif Family Foundation, Steven's Hope for Children
will again be distributing tickets for the Concerts Under
the Stars. Each Saturday night over a three week period,
dinner will be served and great music will be performed
on the grounds of a 100 acre estate in the foothills
of La Verne. Each ticket is $55 and includes dinner from
Walter's of Claremont. Get 7 or 8 of your best friends
or co-workers and make a night of it. 100% of the ticket
proceeds go to the charity that sells the ticket. So,
remember to get your tickets from Steven's Hope.

One Tough
Run for Hope
Now in its second year,
the One Tough Run is a moderate to difficult timed run
in Upland, CA. Along with the run, breakfast will be
provided for the runners after the event. Individuals
and teams are allowed and we welcome challenges between
departmetns of fire departments, and law enforcement.

Game Day
Unlike many triathlons
that require months of serious training, nutrition, discipline
and commitment, this one you can just show up for and
be competitive. This is the event for the wanna-be's,
could-a-been's and has-beens. You don't have to be in
good shape. Just pick a shape. Nine holes of golf at
Sierra Lakes, then off to Dave & Busters for a darts
and billiards tournament. Game Day. A triathlon like
